About Me

My name is Lauren and I'm the girl behind This Happy, Hectic Life and Daisy Cottage Designs. I'm a twenty-something stay at home mom to our daughters, Riley and Caroline.  Most importantly, I'm a born again Christian. When I was just a little girl, I put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ to save me from my sins.  As he promised in the Bible, he did just that.  When I was 13, I decided that I wanted to live for my Savior, not for myself.  

In December of 2006, after lots of "waiting," I married my best friend, David. We're definitely blessed with a happy marriage - we love playing games, serving the Lord, and laughing together. My husband is the assistant and youth pastor at our church in Central Florida.

Our beautiful daughter, Riley Grace, joined our family on March 23, 2010. Our second chickadee, Caroline Elizabeth, was born March 11, 2012. She has filled our hearts just as quickly as her sister did, and we're enjoying being a family of four. Our daughters have brought so much joy, laughter, and smiles to our family.  We love watching their adorable antics, doing ridiculous things to see their smiles, and just being their parents.

I have always loved crafts of all types. After Riley was born, I started crocheting in hopes of making cute things for her. When friends started placing "orders" for their own kids, I decided to give Etsy a try.  It's been a lot of fun, and it's been a great way to supplement our family's income.
